Today I will talk with you about how to make a Blog search engine friendly. I have divided this topic into several lessons and I will show how to optimize keywords and Meta tags of your blog in the first lesson.
If you are going to put the effort into keeping up a blog, you might try to optimize your Blog so that search engines can identify your website or blog and more importantly your readers can find your content easily. But if you will do any mistake, then search engines will not drive traffic to your site. So be careful during optimize Meta tags and keywords of your site.
As you know, keywords are the search words of your site and the content of your site. Search engines can recognize only these two factors of your article; not the whole article. These words also can be used for your individual content but today we will add the common keywords for your website not for a single content. Mind it- your every individual content will go under these keywords because they are based on your total blog concept.
Meta tags have also a strong impact on your site which is generally used to increase your blog's visibility to search engines. It can be used for your individual content as well. Adding it in proper method will help you to boost up the chances of getting a higher SERP in Search Engine War.
To adding Keywords and Meta Tags, you have to complete the following steps. See below -
1. Log in into your Blogger account.
2. Go to the Dashboard of your Blog where you want to insert the Meta Tags or just click on the Template tab in Blogger Dashboard.
3. Now click on the HTML Edit tab. At the HTML codes, add the following two lines anywhere in between <head> and </head>.
<meta name= 'Keywords' content= 'Your Keywords Here, Comma Separated' />
Ex- <meta name= 'Keywords' content= blogging tips, SEO tricks, earn money' />
<meta name= 'Description' content= 'Your Description Here' />
Ex- <meta name='Description' content=tips on blogging, SEO tricks, Blogger zone' />
Note-*Here description will contain your Meta tags.
